HouseBeautiful Home Collection
Site developed to announce and promote the launch of the House Beautiful branded Home Collection. The site presents ample content within the client-constrained 800x600 browser resolution to support its largest customer segment. Working with the creator of the collection, freakdigital designed a site to emphasize the unique and original colorways developed exclusively for the collection. Attention to the color story was expressed in the users’ ability to choose one of six unique color palettes for the site, based on the colors of the House Beautiful Home Collection. The Flash-based “Create Your Look” section offers the user the ability to create a bedroom set with their specific color choices, and to print out the completed set, through an easy-to-use embedded Flash app.Note: Developed for May Company previous to its acquisition by Federated Department Stores.
Role: Front-end site design, user interface. Photo manipulation. Developed the “Create Your Look” Flash application allowing users to create and preview a bedroom set based on their own color choices. Development of product-level Flash navigation through dynamic ActionScript.
